Prints or other commercial items of your commissioned piece may available for the public. Artwork may be used in a variety of commercial or marketing settings.
Steps involved in commissioning a portrait:
1) Send me your reference photo to be sure it will work for me before making a purchase. (See my article on how to take a good reference photo.) Email address: dacpublishing (@) gmail.com
2) I will crop your reference photo(s) and email the image back to you along with any thoughts I have about your photos. I will also send a timeline estimate.
3) Purchase the commission here on my website after establishing the reference photo.
Custom Portraits
My work is stylistic and colorful—there are some abstract elements. While I closely match the animal’s markings my work is not intended to be hyper-realistic. I use color liberally and joyfully at the digital painting stage and with the threads. The best aspect of my work is how I capture the animal’s personality. The colors I choose help to shine a light on their true spirit.
As the customer you will choose the reference photo and the background color. I am happy to assist you in the choice and make recommendations if you would like. I will email the completed digital painting to you and you will have an opportunity to see the progress and let me know if you want a change in the background color before printing on fabric.
