Beatrice loves to dance. Today she is at an outdoor festival, swaying to her favorite folk singer (perhaps Bob Dylan - it is a bit hard to know for sure).
I feel so happy when I look at "Beatrice Goes Dancing". It is a beautiful sunny day, with green grass and black-eyed susans gently swaying in the breeze. There is an element of fun, almost a cartoon quality, to the fabrics (which I designed) that give the piece a playful feeling.
Beatrice was the 36th most popular name in 1910. I named the flowers in this series after popular names from the early 1900's as a reference to the quilters who came before me.
Created using my own custom fabric designs, beads, and quilted. Mounted on a wooden frame to easily hang on your wall.
