New Website

Last week was different. For six long days I didn't step foot in my studio. I spent every available minute creating my new website! I had never used Squarespace before and learning new software is far from my favorite activity. After a steep learning curve I got the hang of things and I am very pleased with the outcome. (I still need to add product descriptions.) I also started a facebook page.

Finally I spent a day back in my studio, and it was wonderful! Not that I needed a reminder but the week confirmed that being an artist (in the studio) is a happy path for me.

This week I have two projects underway. I am making a small series of tiny flower art pieces. I will have progress photos to show next week. My other piece is a portrait of my daughter- a divergence from my usual work (you will be surprised by the colors). I am curious to see if I like it in the end. That will be done for next week's report.

Fabric I designed for the binding (edge) around the portrait quilt.
