Beatrice is Joyful

Original Art by Dawn Allen

Beatrice is joyful because she is at the disco! I image her petals dancing (at a disco or in the wind). Her center is covered in colorful glass beads. The beads are predominately dark but sparkle with multiple colors from different angles, reminiscent of a disco ball. She is also wearing some really fun, happy, wild fabrics (all designed by me).

You may have guessed, Beatrice is inspired by a black-eyed susan.

Beatrice was the 36th most popular name in 1910. I named the flowers in this series after popular names from the early 1900's as a reference to the quilters who came before me.
